National Championship Potential Ride Site QuestionairePlease fill out this information for the National Championship Committee to review if you are interested in hosting a future AERC National Championship Ride. We are looking for a ride in 2005 and beyond. AERC has agreed to pay up to $7,500 for vet fees and has also agreed to waive all rider and drug fees that are payable to AERC. Only fee to AERC will be the sanctioning fee. This is a special event sanctioned ride, it is not a open ride, rider must qualify to enter. No open ride may be held in conjunction with this ride. Ride Name:Ride Manager: Address: Telephone: Region: Proposed location of basecamp: What year are you willing to host the ride? Are you flexible? 1.Is this an established 100 and 50 mile ride? For How long? Same ride manager? 2. Is this a well-marked trail? 3. Explain what the trail is like, terrain, footing, elevation, ect... 4. Is there water at base-camp? Is there water on the trail? 5. Is the campsite large enough to accommodate the number of rides that are estimated to attend? (Approx. 150 in the 50 mile, and 60 in the 100 mile) 6. What is the best time of the year in this location to hold the NC ride? (It has been held in October and August in the past.) 7. What are the weather conditions at this location for this time of year? 8. Can many large rigs fit into the base camp and on the roads coming into it? 9. Where is the closest town for supplies and such? 10. Would you be able and willing to get sponsors/vendors for the National Championship? 11. Can you handle the risk? Do you have the time, effort, and money it takes to put this ride on? 12. Is there a local club or group of volunteers to help with the ride? How Many? 13. What are the amenities that would be available for the riders? 14. Would you have a nice awards banquet after the ride? 15. Can you supply a tent or do you have a permanent facility for vendors and the Banquet? 16. Are there electrical hook-ups available? How many? 17. Are there showers available? Fee? If no, where is the closest place to take a shower? 18. Stalls available? How many? 19. Hotels Available and how close? 20. Closest airport? 21. Tourism, what can riders do while they are there? |
