AERC VICE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
AERC launches new, improved website

By Mike Maul, AERC Vice President

AERC has a new online home page and updated look at http://www. aerc.org. The new page provides all of the content of the previous AERC home page and adds a lot of additional material. The navigation scheme has been changed so that material is easy to find and additional content can be added.
The members log in to reach the AERC directory, rider/horse record updates, online sanctioning, e-mail alerts, and much more. There is a search function to find articles at the AERC site, material from the current copy of Endurance News, trails information, everything a ride manager needs, board of directors meeting minutes from the beginning of AERC, and much more.
The material on the home page will change regularly to include items of current interest to the membership. AERC sponsors are featured as a part of the home page. New content includes member news and hot topics, how to file a protest, current protest findings, dates and deadlines, the 2003 Rules and Regulations, a region map, 2002 member awards, education articles, research grants, trails grant application information, progress on trails grants work, and trail news. There are links to sites on equine nutrition, new rider information, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and more.
We are interested in receiving suggestions for additional links and content for the web page as well as feedback on the new format. We would also like to receive contributions from the membership for this content. Contact us at AERCSuggestions @aerc.org.
